Group therapy for adolescents from 14 to 18 years old
What the group offers
Individual approach: A maximum of 10 people in a group to ensure sufficient space for each participant.
Openness: We create a safe and supportive environment where adolescents can freely express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns without fear of judgement.
Community: Group therapy provides a unique opportunity for a sense of belonging and building healthy connections with peers. Participants can share their experiences and build friendships.
Authenticity: We support self-acceptance and the development of self-confidence. Participants are encouraged to be themselves and learn to accept their unique qualities and emotions.
Self-discovery: Group dynamics allow adolescents to better understand themselves in relation to others. This process leads to a greater awareness of one's own values, needs, and goals.
Sharing challenging life topics and experiences: Participants have the opportunity to speak openly about their difficulties, which can be healing. Sharing together eases the burden of emotions and problems.
Mutual support and inspiration: The group provides space for mutual motivation and encouragement. Participants can help each other through difficult times and inspire each other towards personal growth.
Goals of group therapy: As part of the therapy, we will focus on improving communication skills, emotion regulation, conflict resolution, and strengthening social relationships. Therapists will facilitate discussion and activities aimed at strengthening group cohesion and individual development.
Group rules
Group secret – confidentiality, topics are not discussed outside, in the family, or with friends.
We arrive to the group on time and leave only when the group ends; any delays, absences, or early departures should be communicated with the therapists in advance if possible.
We always speak for ourselves in the first person.
We tell the truth – we do not make things up, we do not fabricate. What I do not want to talk about, I do not talk about.
Anyone has the right to ask anyone about anything.
The person asked always has the option to refuse to answer, even without explanation.
Only one person speaks at a time. We do not interrupt each other, we do not whisper on the side with our neighbor.
Members of the group do not know each other and do not have any other relationship with each other. If this happens, it should be communicated to the other members.
Coarse insults or physical assault have no place in the group. There is no need to be formal, one can even let off steam with vulgarities, but one cannot call others names.
Abstinence – therapy cannot be conducted under the influence of psychotropic substances and alcohol.
