Psychotherapeutic Counselling

As a therapist, I undertake, at the request of the legal representative, to provide the minor client (hereinafter "the client") with psychological counselling based on a pre-determined agreement. Care for the client is determined based on mutual agreement of all involved

parties, i.e. the client, legal representatives and the therapist with regard to the best benefit of the client. We recommend that the first initial assessment of clients under the age of 14 is attended on your own without the child, so that you and the therapist can determine the therapeutic approach and goal of the therapy.

Confidentiality

The therapist has a duty to maintain confidentiality regarding all information they learn during therapy. Information obtained during sessions is not provided to any third party without the client's consent. The exception is to protect the client or to protect someone else from direct danger, or if required by law. Confidentiality of information does not apply to these situations – some of them are regulated by the Criminal Code (especially Sections 167 and 168), others are a matter of the therapist's conscience and ethics:

1. If the therapist has good reason to believe that the client wants to harm themselves, they will take the necessary steps in order to protect the client's health / life. The therapist undertakes to do so only after exhausting all other options for the client to take steps to protect their own safety.

2. If the therapist has good reason to believe that a child or an adult with a specific vulnerability is being abused or neglected, or if the therapist receives an indication that another person is committing this behaviour, the therapist has a legal obligation to take steps to stop this behaviour. The therapist must inform the Police of the Czech Republic, OSPOD, etc.

3. If the therapist has good reason to believe that the client intends to harm another person, they will make an effort to ensure safety for that person (e.g. by contacting the Police of the Czech Republic).

Conflict Situations

The client must not record or film the therapist without the prior permission of the therapist. These rules serve to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the therapeutic process. In the event that an already existing mental illness or problem appears in the course of therapy, the service provider reserves the right to inform the client of the possibility of further care or referral to another specialist.

Meetings

Meetings take place in person at the address, Vinohradská 22, Prague 2. However, if the client decides that an online meeting is more suitable for them, it is possible upon agreement with the therapist.

The therapy lasts 50 minutes.

The client has the option to cancel the visit at least 48 hours prior to the therapy.

Otherwise, the centre reserves the right to charge a 100% cancellation fee.

Therapy can be cancelled via the telephone number +420 777 719 901 or by email at recepce@elpira.cz.

The advance invoice for the therapy must be paid at least 72 hours before the visit. In case of non-payment, the therapy will not be conducted.

Termination of Cooperation

Under standard circumstances, the termination of cooperation is the result of a joint discussion with the client and the legal representative about meeting the set goals. Therapies are voluntary, therefore the client has the right to terminate the therapy at any time. The therapist may also terminate the therapy for necessary reasons, which will be explained to you. In case you are not satisfied with how the therapies are conducted, we ask the client for feedback.

Agreement with the Terms and Conditions

By reading and understanding the above information. At the same time, you express your agreement with the conditions of the therapies and the client undertakes to comply with them.

Protection of Personal Data: Client's personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR directive. By agreeing to this informed consent, the client gives permission to process their personal data in accordance with this directive.
