Karolína Hanušová, BSc
Karolína is currently a trainee in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) training at Odyssea. She gained her professional experience during a number of jobs and internships, for example at the National Institute of Mental Health (mood disorders department), the General University Hospital in Prague (addiction treatment), the Louny Child Psychiatric Hospital, the Children's Crisis Centre, and the RIAPS Crisis Centre. She has also worked as a lecturer in long-term primary prevention and as a professional guide in adaptation courses. In addition to her therapeutic focus, Karolína continuously educates herself in complementary methods – she has completed a course in complete crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, MBCT (mindfulness), and an accredited coaching course. In her work with clients, she emphasises cognitive-behavioural procedures and an individual approach to topics. In her work, she focuses on supporting children and adolescents in managing anxiety, depression, emotional instability, or self-esteem issues. She helps them better understand their own emotions and develop skills for a healthy self-image. She also has experience working with children with selective mutism, where she mainly uses cognitive-behavioural therapeutic methods that help children gradually overcome communication barriers and strengthen their sense of security in social situations. Furthermore, she also offers consultations for parents in the area of educational guidance and support for the child's emotional development. In these, she naturally combines professional knowledge with her own practical experience from raising her son.

Psychologist
Iveta Černá, MA
Iveta Černá, child psychologist. I graduated in psychology and special education from Charles University in Prague. I began my career in the non-profit sector, working with adults with intellectual disabilities. Over the years, I moved to working with children as a teacher in a special needs nursery, and I continued in the education system at a mainstream primary school as a school psychologist and special education teacher. I spent several years working in counselling, where I gained experience in diagnostics. I have completed experiential self-development training in Brno, crisis intervention training in Prague, and have attended numerous training sessions and lectures as part of my ongoing professional development. Currently, I work as a school psychologist, a growth group facilitator, and a child psychologist. I love working with children; I see it as a diverse and adventurous journey of learning and discovering the world through the client's eyes. I find a non-directive, accepting, and authentic approach very natural in my contact with children. I never cease to be genuinely amazed by their wisdom. I enjoy walks in nature, ideally in the "forest and dog" combination, time spent with family and friends, as well as cooking, culture, reading, swimming, and writing poetry.

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Therapy from the Third Faculty of Medicine at Charles University, and then continued with a subsequent Master's programme in Nutrition for Adults and Children at the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University.
During my studies and further education, I began to focus more closely on the areas of sports nutrition and eating disorders.
In my private practice, I focus primarily on sports nutrition, eating disorders, weight loss/gain, and nutrition for specific medical conditions.
I approach each client individually. I believe that nutrition does not have to be based on restrictions, extremes, or constant counting. The key is to find a way of eating that meets your needs and goals, whilst being sustainable in the long term.
My goal is to share professional and easy-to-understand information that you can use in your daily life, and to help you develop a healthier and more confident relationship with food.
